The team has been training hard for the past 13 months, committing themselves to practices twice, sometimes three times per week. They have attended several weekend training camps, a tournament in Regina, workshops, and much more, all in preparation for the Games. The MWSA is very proud of their athletic accomplishment in such a short period of time!

Under the guidance of MWSA’s two wheelchair basketball coaches, the team has thrived. Our coaches have worked extremely hard developing our athletes’ skills and knowledge of the game. MWSA is very lucky to have wonderful coaches on board!

MWSA’s team at the Games is not complete without a Team Manager – Kevin Stewart. Kevin took on the role just a few months ago and has assisted the coaches and athletes in many capacities. He has dedicated many hours to ensuring the team stayed organized, assisted with fundraising initiatives, kept communication ongoing between the team and the MWSA office, and much more. Kevin also sits on MWSA’s Board as Vice-President.
The game schedule for Team Toba’s Wheelchair Basketball Team is as follows:
- February 16, 2015 – MB vs BC – 11:00 am – 1:00 pm pst.
- February 17, 2015 – MB vs SK – 11:00 am – 1:00 pm pst.
- February 18, 2015 – MB vs ON – 9:00 am – 11:00 am pst.
- February 18, 2015 – MB vs PEI – 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm pst.
