Athlete Initiative has announced plans to host their "2nd Annual Battle of the Border All-Star Charity Basketball game." AI is hoping to bring an Alumni Men's and Women's All-Star team down to Regina, SK on Saturday, May 9th for the 2nd Annual Battle of the Border Charity Fundraiser.
This Annual game has become successful raising up to $4,000 last year for the late Crystal McGregor who passed from cancer. This year we hope to double the amount and raise money for another charity which is to be announced.
The trip will require the two teams to drive down to Regina, compete against Team Saskatchewan All-Stars on Saturday evening at the University of Regina (CKHS). With a packed gym of basketball fans, Team Manitoba will have to fight hard this year to bring home the trophy that Team Sask won last April.
Gas, and hotel will be covered, the following criteria for an eligible athlete are:

- Must have played College or University basketball in Manitoba
- Or have played high school basketball in Manitoba, and played University basketball in Canada or U.S.
- Must be able to stay over night in Regina
- Must conduct great sportsmanship
- Must be able to play within team environment
