SCHEDULES RELEASED: Details have been set for the Fury Jr. Husky Alliance Club Basketball Tournament which will take place Thursday, April 30th to Sunday, May 3rd of 2015. The cost to enter the tournament will be $225 per team. Additional details include...VIEW SCHEDULE
- There will be 2 divisions: Grade 9, 10 Boys and Grade 7, 8 Girls
- All games will be played at Sturgeon Heights Collegiate located at 2665 Ness Ave.
- Girls Division will play 7-minute quarters, stop time.
- Boys Division will play 8-minute quarters, stop time.
- Every team will get a minimum of 3 games.
- 6 teams will be registered in each division. (2 pools of round robin with crossover game for playoffs.)
- FIBA Rules will be incorporated, with slight adjustments to accommodate age groups.
- Min. of 7 minutes warm up time
- 5-minute halftime
- 2 timeouts in the first half, 3 timeouts in the second half.
- Boys will play 8 min stop time quarters
- Girls will play 7 minutes stop time quarters
- Stop time after baskets last 2 mins of the game.
- 3 pointers will be in effect for the girls division. **
- Full-court press is allowed in girls division until team has 20 point lead.
- NO ZONE DEFENCE IN GIRLS DIVISION (however, double teaming on the ball is allowed)
All teams must also register with Basketball Manitoba. Annual fee is $225 per team or $25 for the 3 day tourney weekend coverage only. The registration form and insurance payment can be made directly to Basketball Manitoba
There will be a canteen, coach’s room, and entry fee of 1$ per day. Prizes for 1st and 2nd place.
