Donated Basketballs and Shoes Make it from Manitoba to Sierra Leone

A recent donation of basketballs and basketball shoes have made it from the Basketball Manitoba Equipment Recycling Program all the way to Sierra Leone in Africa.  Basketball Manitoba was approached for some basketball equipment donations by a recent immigrant from Sierra Leone who was heading back to his home country and we were pleased to be able to provide over 50 basketballs and pairs of shoes.

The donated items have come from generous people from around Manitoba who have donated over 2,000 items to the program since its launch in 2013.  Ten donation bins are set up in Winnipeg and Brandon collecting used basketball equipment which is then collected and recirculated to programs around Manitoba, and now beyond!
