Sport Manitoba has put out a call out to basketball programs and leagues interested in booking space at the new Qualico Training Centre in the Canada Games Sport for Life Centre that is currently being built in downtown Winnipeg. The building is still a year away from opening, but times are already starting to be booked. If you are a member of Basketball Manitoba and operate a league, training program, camp or club, you are eligible to book space for use starting in spring 2017.
The facility is already at 65% of capacity and will open the space up for reservation to the general public later this month.
What is Available?Main Level Canada Games Sport for Life Centre
The main level features multi-use court space. Three hardwood basketball courts with 14 square glass backboards with scoreboards. It also offers a flex training space that is approximately 1500 square feet.
Second Level
The next level features weightlifting racks, four sprint lanes, cardio treadmills and ergs, fitness testing areas and lab. A multi-use flex space that is approximately 1200 square feet comes complete with padded walls and nets, perfect for athletes honing their skills in golf, softball, baseball, and cricket…just to name a few.
Cost
The price varies. Courts range from $30- $50/hr. Flex spaces range from $12 - $24/hr.When
