Basketball Manitoba is seeking one Winnipeg area Junior High / Middle Schools who is interested in hosting 3 days of the annual Junior High Basketball Championships (formerly known as the Junior High Invitational Tournament) on March 20-22, 2017. As in the past, the finals will be hosted at Tec Voc High School. We are looking for a site host at the Grade 9 boys (aka 'Senior Boys') level only. They will join the other site hosts Acadia, Sargent Park and Valley Gardens.
Responsibilities of the host include providing access to a gym, having a site convenor on hand for all games, providing minor officials and staffing the gate. The host is also guaranteed a spot in the JHBC at the level they are hosting and would also be expected to host the selection meeting at this level prior to the championships. All revenues collected at the door and concession sales are to be kept by the host.
