The Rady Facility of Health Sciences at the University of Manitoba has announced details on their 5th annual basketball fundraising event which sees a Students vs Staff of the Bannatyne Campus compete in a fun game for a good cause. The event will go Wednesday March 15 at 5:30 pm at the Joe Doupe Gym located at the U of M Bannatyne Campus located at the Health Sciences Centre (map below). All funds will support the Basketballs for Inner City Kids project and the SWISH outdoor basketball program.
Since 2006, the event has raised funds to give out over 4,000 basketballs to inner-city children in Winnipeg. The SWISH (Summer Weekend Inner-city Supervised Hoops) program offers inner-city youth a summer drop-in basketball venue at the Bannatyne Campus.
