He might not be coaching in the NBA anymore but you can bet one of the winning-est coaches of all-time is always sharing his craft.
Known most notably for his time in the NBA as a coach with the Milwaukee Bucks, Seattle Supersonics, and Denver Nuggets, George Karl has one of the best coaching records of all time. The guy truly understands how to win, but more importantly, how to develop players.
Since retiring from the NBA, Karl is still occupying his free-time with coaching. This time, he’s working with boys instead of grown men. Through a series of developmental videos, Karl shows ways to teach the game from the ground-up.
In one example below, Coach Karl explains the fundamentals of speed dribbling using relays.
Speed Dribbling Relay
DESCRIPTION | Split players into even teams, spaced out on the baseline. Players take turns speed dribbling, right hand on the way down and left hand on the way back. Focus on players pushing the ball in front of them (not by their side) and keeping their head up. |
