Maccabi Canada has announced the athletes selected for the Open Men's Basketball team set to compete in the 20th Maccabiah Games in Israel from July 4-18. The selection includes Manitoban Keenan Benarroch (pictured above right side) These athletes are part of a more than 600-member delegation from Canada, who will join a total of 10,000 Jewish athletes from 80 countries in the third largest sporting event in the world.
Supported by coach Allon Bross and Manager Madhav Trivedi, the team is composed of: Raphael Abergel, Sean Ashkenazy, Jordan Balaban, Keenan Benarroch, Jason Bitton, Ave Bross, Spencer Green, Max Grossman, Adam Halpern, Mor Menache and Sage Usher.Maccabi Canada’s mission is to promote Jewish identity and to cultivate future leaders through the passion of sports. Every four years, the Maccabiah Games brings Jewish athletes of all ages to Israel, providing world-class athletic competition as well as an opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich culture and heritage of the Jewish people.
