The Manitoba Basketball African Association is hosting an All-Star Basketball Game this Saturday, July 22 at University of St Boniface at 5:00 pm. The MBAA is a newly forming member of Basketball Manitoba that aspires to bring communities together while supporting them through fundraisers and raising awareness.
Last month, the group raised about $8000 supporting the South Sudan famine. The group also looks to empower African communities here in Manitoba at the same time giving those who did not get an opportunity to follow their basketball dreams another shot at it while creating new and strong relationships that will keep the community together.
