Term: September to June (breaking end of December and March) Days & Times: Saturday & Sunday afternoons and Tuesday evenings
Responsible for: Delivery of the Steve Nash Youth Basketball Program (SNYB) for children between the ages of 6 - 12. This position will implement lesson plans and program activities in accordance to the SNYB Program developed by Basketball Canada. This enthusiastic, motivated and self-directed individual will ensure all members have a positive experience in a safe, friendly and welcoming environment.

Deliver Steve Nash Youth Basketball Program emphasizing fun, fitness, skill development,
physical literacy, health and well-being

Utilizing the Steve Nash Youth Basketball Program Curriculum to develop weekly lesson plans

Mentor and work with volunteers
Requirements and Qualifications:
-
1 – 2 years coaching basketball
-
NCCP Community Coaching Level 1
-
Familiarity with the Steve Nash Program Curriculum is an asset
-
Emergency First Aid and CPR Level C
-
Enjoys working with children and is able to build good rapport with children
-
Good leadership abilities and communication skills
