On behalf of the Board of Directors and Staff of Basketball Manitoba and the provincial basketball community, congratulations on being selected to represent Manitoba this summer! As the sports governing body in Manitoba every year we strive to offer the premier basketball education and exposure opportunities for Manitoba's top athletes and coaches.The Provincial Team Program will provide your child with friends and experiences that will last a lifetime. We are excited about our outstanding line-up of coaches and the player’s they have chosen to represent the province this summer! We hope you experience with the Provincial Team Program is the best possible!
All ages are based on December 31 of the year the tryouts occur. The teams are chosen from open tryouts that occur in May and any Manitoba resident who is in one of the two age categories is eligible and welcome to try out. Once the teams are chosen, they train and compete together throughout the spring and summer and participate in the National / Western Basketball Championships for their category, which usually occurs in early August. Leading up to Nationals / Westens the teams will also host or travel to other tournaments in preparation for Nationals.
