The Balling for the Cure organization in partnership with Canadian Blood Services has announced a special blood drive day that has been set up in the memory of Donovan Gayle. Donovan began the Balling for the Cure initiative in 2014 with an aim to raise funds, awareness and blood donations tied to his being diagnosed with leukemia. Those interesting in supporting this can sign up by emailing your name to Sela or Shaneil to ballingforthecure@basketballmanitoba.ca. Those wishing to make a blood donation must meet the eligibility as set by the Canadian Blood Services.
