Ross Wedlake Recipient of 2018 Sport Manitoba Outstanding Volunteer Award

Congratulations go out to Basketball Manitoba President Ross Wedlake on being named the Great West Life Sport Manitoba Outstanding Volunteer at the 2018 Sport Manitoba Night of Champions!  Ross was recognized for his sustained contributions to basketball at the multi-sport event hosted at the Club Regent Event Centre in Winnipeg on April 21.

Ross' volunteer commitments go back many years in the sport as a coach for over 30 years plus as the current President of Basketball Manitoba, the Chair of its Technical Committee, the Chair of the Manitoba Basketball Hall of Fame and the Sport Chair for Basketball at the 2017 Canada Games.

Ross joins other basketball volunteers, Mike Ruta (WMBA Founder) and Rod Peppler (MABO) who have been honoured by this award in the past.
