The annual "100 Basketballs" event will be returning to Norquay Community Centre, 65 Granville in Winnipeg on Saturday August 25, 2018 from 1:00 - 4:00 pm. The event is an annual campaign and family fun day in Winnipeg's inner city intended to provide kids with basketballs and equipment. It will feature a barbecue, basketball tournament and music and is supported by Aboriginal Youth Opportunities, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Winnipeg, Red Rising Magazine, Basketball Manitoba, Spence Neighborhood Association, Mosaic Family Newcomer Resource Centre, Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce, Youth Agencies Alliance, University of Winnipeg, Assiniboine Credit Union, Manitoba Labour Council, IRCOM, Social Planning Council, Fearless R2W, the Winnipeg Police Service among others.
