The University of Winnipeg Wesmen Women's Basketball Program has announced they will be offering another round of instructional sessions of the "I Can Score" basketball clinics.
Dates and times for 10 sessions in a variety of age groups have been announced, with the first session slated to begin Sept. 23. The clinics will run Sept. 23 and 30; Oct. 7, 14 and 28; Nov. 18 and 25; and Dec. 2, 9 and 16 at the Axworthy Health and RecPlex on the campus of the University of Winnipeg.
This will be the sixth year the I Can Score clinic has operated and it is designed to improve the scoring skills of players, including shooting form, reading-and-reacting, footwork, ball-handling and creativity.
The clinics provide those attending with training from Wesmen players and coaches.
The breakdown of classes and costs are as follows:
Boys and Girls, Grade 3-6
10-11 a.m. $100
Boys, Grades 7-10
10 a.m.-Noon $150
Girls, Grades 7-12
11 a.m.-1 p.m. $150
