Alex Grislis has committed to join the Providence Pilots women’s basketball team for the 2019-2020 season.

“I am very excited for this opportunity to be a part of the Providence basketball team next year.” Said Alex, “I’ve always loved being a part of a team and have worked hard to develop my skills each year. I’m looking forward to continuing to grow as a player while getting to know the team this upcoming season.”

For the Pilots head coach Joel Coursey, the decision was easy as Alex has averaged 18.9 points per game this season and 10.1 rebounds. Along with her great stats Joel Coursey comments on not only her talent but also her character by saying “I have only heard good things about Alex from her coach and former teammates. It’s easy to scout for talent, it’s much harder to find character players. We believe we have found a quality person in Alex Grislis and I am confident that she will fit into our program very nicely. She has done everything for her team this year as they have battled through a challenging regular season, of playing up a division. I think that this experience will help her as she makes the leap into college basketball.”

Alex comes to Providence from Westgate Mennonite Collegiate and plans to study in the Science program.
