Coming up on Tuesday April 30 at 7:00pm at Fort Richmond Collegiate, there will be a special fundraising basketball game involving FRC and Team McDonald’s in support of Ronald McDonald House. Get out and support this great cause!
This marks the 25th McHappy Day in McDonald’s Canada. McHappy Day is a tradition that occurs in McDonald's Restaurants all across Canada. It is the company's longest-running tradition and best-known national fundraiser.
The Ronald McDonald House Charities Canada, is an organization that keeps families together. It is a home away from home for families of sick children that are being treated at nearby hospitals. 65% of families who seek medical attention outside of the city. The house provides a place for these families to stay while their children retrieve treatment. Ronald McDonald House is a warm, supportive, and welcoming space where families can stay close and connect with others in a compassionate and supportive environment. There are 15 houses across Canada and 16 family rooms that are located inside of hospitals. Family rooms inside the hospital allow families to rest and freshen up while being only steps away from their child.
Ronald McDonald House Charity would not be possible without the many fundraisers that happen throughout the year, including the Red Shoe Walk and of course, McHappy Day.
