Prarie Elite Basketball Academy has announced that they are starting a spring team for female athletes in the Winkler/Morden/Carman area. They are looking for athletes born in 2002/2003. On Thursday, April 5, there will be an on-court and information session at Parkland School in Winkler from 4:30-6:30. Any interested athlete is encouraged to attend.
Head Coach will be Ashley Hoitink from Morden. She is currently the assistant coach for Manitoba’s 16U female team that will be competing at the Western Canada Games this summer. Assistant Coach will be Mikayla Funk from Winkler. Mikayla just finished her first season with the Winnipeg Wesmen and was recently honoured as the school’s Rookie of the Year.
