Pilots Men's Basketball Recruiting Continues as Pilots add Guard Joshua Lamoureux.
Head coach Pierre Dubreuil has been hard at work this offseason bolstering his roster for the 2020-2021 season. Guard from Vincent Massey Collegiate in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Joshua Lamoureux, commits to play for the Pilots next season.
“I am very excited to be joining the Pilots program and continuing my basketball and academic education", said Joshua, "The team that Coach Pierre has put together is very dynamic, and I want to bring my positive energy and hard work ethic to the game. I am looking forward to developing my skills and joining my new teammates on the court to grow with them as a team.”
Joshua will be studying in the Buller School of Business at Providence as well as playing for the Pilots.
Head coach Pierre echoed Josh's excitement by saying, “I am extremely pleased with the addition of Joshua Lamoureux to our 2020 roster. Josh is from Vincent Massey Collegiate, one of the powerhouses of basketball in Manitoba, and was part of the team when they won the MHSAA Provincial Championship last year. Josh has participated in our Providence Sports Camps and now graduates to the varsity club. Josh has been trained by great coaches from various programs such as sport camps, Vincent Massey, Manitoba Gladiators and the Manitoba Magic Basketball Club. Josh has developed a great work ethic and commitment to the game that I’m looking for in every member of my team. In the guard position, he will join returning players Jordan Lawson and Joshua Armstrong to bring explosiveness and speed to our offence. I can’t wait to see what Josh is going to bring to our team dynamics.”
