Megan has been involved in the basketball community in Manitoba for many years. Her playing career consisted of four summers on the Manitoba Provincial Team and a successful five years as a member of the University of Winnipeg Wesmen Basketball Program. She was a three-year co-captain recognized as a Canada West All-star for two of those years.
Megan graduated from the University of Winnipeg with a Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology. She also just finished her Bachelor of Education at the University of Manitoba and is currently working as a substitute teacher.
From 2017 to 2020, Megan was coaching at her former high school, Fort Richmond Collegiate, where she led the varsity girls team to a divisional championship in 2020. That year she was also named MSHAA Coach of the Year.
In addition to coaching at the high school level, Megan has been a part of the coaching staff for the U17 Female Provincial team for the past four years. In 2018, she head coached the team to a fifth-place finish at nationals. This year she is helping coach the Rural Targeted Athlete Program South (TAP) and the varsity girls team at Dakota Collegiate.
