Paulo had a successful playing career at Daniel McIntyre Collegiate. He was a member of the University of Manitoba Bisons (1996) and was selected to the Manitoba Provincial Team (1992-93) and the Canada Summer Games (1993).
Paulo turned his passion for playing the game towards instilling a love of basketball in his athletes. He began his coaching career in 2003, coaching the JV Boys Basketball team at Daniel McIntyre Collegiate. He has since worked tirelessly towards achieving this goal by continuing to mentor and coach athletes in various schools in Manitoba (General Wolfe, Sargent Park, Sisler).
Paulo has served as an assistant coach for the Manitoba Provincial Team in 2021, 2022 and now in 2024.
Paulo graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Kinesiology and a Bachelor of Education degree. Paulo is currently a high school physical education teacher at Sisler High School and currently coaching the Junior Varsity Boys basketball team and heads the men’s program at Sisler High School.
