Manitoba basketball player AJ Basi has signed a new professional contract to suit up with the Reading Rockets of Reading, England for the 2021-22 season. The Reading Rockets are an English professional basketball club based in the town of Reading, England, located west of London. Founded in 1997, the Rockets compete in National Basketball League of England - Division 1, the second tier of the British basketball system.
AJ commented, “ I’m very grateful to resume my career and continue playing basketball after taking some time off during the pandemic. I’m very excited to be entering my 4th pro season and look forward to helping the Reading Rockets get back into the playoffs and be one of the best teams in the country this season!”
AJ is a grad of the University of Manitoba Bisons and this marks his 4th year in the European pro circuits.
