Nathan Kayembe of London, ON has found a new home in Otterburne. The 6’4” power forward will add depth to the Pilots roster, as he joins Captain Waedon Dueck, in the rotation. Nathan is a big presence in the paint, with his physical rebounding and his touch around the rim. Complimenting his paint presence, Nathan has a midrange game that can stretch the floor.
Coach Pierre Dubreuil is “thrilled to add Nathan to my roster this season. He brings size and a passion for the game. I'm looking forward to working with him and the rest of the 2021 team when we meet for training camp in a few weeks.”
The small community at Providence allows for opportunities that larger schools cannot. Nathan will have plenty of open gym time to develop his skills. When he is not playing basketball, Nathan will be studying biology at Providence. He will be joining residence and contributing to the positive community we have on campus.
“I'm really excited and honoured to play for providence. Basketball has been my passion for as long as I can remember, and having this opportunity means the world to me. I want to thank my mom and sister, my coaches, friends and family for believing in me. Thank you to coach Pierre for taking a chance on me. Go Pilots!”
The Pilots men’s basketball team will land on campus on September 2nd and begin training for their upcoming season.
