The Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference (MCAC) has announced its return to the court and to resume the 2021-22 basketball and volleyball season on January 28, 2022.

Both leagues were paused after the holiday break and will have their first conference play since the start of December 2021.

 

As COVID-19 continues to have an impact on the community, there will not be spectators for MCAC games for at least the next two weeks and games are available via live web streams.

 

The first volleyball games of the new year have Assiniboine Community College (ACC) Cougars host Providence University College (PUC) Pilots on Friday, Jan. 28 plus Université de Saint-Boniface (USB) Les Rouges at home against Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) Blazers on Friday, Jan. 28 with women’s starting at 6 pm CT and men’s matches scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CT.

 

In basketball, PUC Pilots host USB Rouges also on Friday, Jan. 28 with women’s tip-off at 6 p.m. CT and the men’s at 8 p.m. CT.

This year’s MCAC volleyball championships are scheduled for February 26-27, 2022 while MCAC basketball championships are slated for March 3-4, 2022.
