Basketball Manitoba is proud to join a number of other organizations as an original signer of the Anti-Racism in Sport Call to Action Accord at the official signing event hosted at Sport Manitoba earlier today. Pictured is Basketball Manitoba President Ross Wedlake signing our sport’s commitment to education, training, accountability, awareness and action to ensure that basketball is free from all forms of racism and that everyone from all backgrounds has a safe and positive experience while involved.
Also pictured in the group photograph are former Basketball Manitoba Vice President and current Sport Manitoba Board Member, Hector Argueta (U of Wpg) and Don Boddy with the Manitoba Association of Newcomer Serving Organizations (MANSO) who is also the MABO basketball referee assignor in the Portage (Central Manitoba) area.
