In Memory of David Reimer, 1948-2022

With great sadness, the South East Manitoba Basketball Officials Association, Manitoba Association of Basketball Officials and Basketball Manitoba share the news of the passing of David Reimer of Steinbach, Manitoba.  David was the area assignor for the South East Manitoba Basketball Officials Association (SEMBOA) since the 1990s and was an active basketball official on the court for over 40 years. 

David was a man who more many hats; husband, father, grandfather, pastor, basketball official, and many more. He was a selfless man who gave back to the basketball community and the people of Southern Manitoba throughout his adult life. 

SEMBOA members knew David was in our corner and stepped up to the plate on our behalf if needed.  His legacy in the basketball community will live long in the southeast, and he will be truly missed by all.  Our thoughts go out to the Reimer family and all of David's friends and the basketball officials of SEMBOA. 

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, Manitoba.
