Today on the Basketball Manitoba Podcast we have Rick DeGagne.
Rick is one of the most experienced officials in Manitoba and has been part of the Basketball Community since 1977. He is a staple in the Brandon community, having coached and officiated there for over 40 years.
He played three years with the Brandon Bobcats winning rookie of the year and was inducted into the Brandon Bobcat Wall of Fame as part of the 1979-80 team and as a Community Leader.
He’s officiated numerous Provincial Championships and many USPORTS (Canadain University) Championships.
He is an experienced FIBA official, having served for ten years in some of the biggest basketball events in the world.

In addition, he officiated professionally for over eight years in the league in North America.
He has served as a local, provincial and national clinician and evaluator. He has been presented the John A. (Wink) Willox Award by the Canadian Association of Basketball Officials (CABO) to recognize a lifetime commitment to basketball officiating in Canada.
