A new locally based organization called 3x3 Nation has announced that they will be hosting a 3x3 basketball tournament in conjunction with the ManyFest downtown street festival from September 9-11, 2022.
Taking place at the centre of ManyFest 2022, the inaugural tournament will kick off the fall season at downtown Winnipeg's largest street festival! This community event will feature youth, wheelchair, and elite basketball divisions. ManyFest is downtown Winnipeg’s biggest street festival, with food trucks, carnival rides, an artisan market, live music, and much more to enjoy. - Team Size: 4 players each (3 on the court plus one sub)
- Tournament Fee: $185.00 for a team of 4; (credit card payment via PayPal option only)
- Guaranteed Games: All teams will receive a minimum of 4 games each
Tournament Rules
All games will be played using official FIBA 3x3 Rules with the following modifications:
- Elite Men's and Women's Division: 10 minutes stopped time or 21 points (whatever occurs first) and use a 12-second shot clock.
- All Other Divisions: game times are 20 minutes each or 21 points, whichever occurs first. Overtime is the first team to score 2 points. A virtual 24-second shot clock will be maintained by the referee.
- Official Game Ball: Wilson FIBA 3x3 Basketball for all divisions (shown above)
Team Registration
To register your team, please follow the steps below...
- CREATE FIBA 3x3 PROFILES: Ensure you and your teammates have created a confirmed FIBA 3x3 profile. You can visit and send your teammates the following link - https://play.fiba3x3.com/signup - to create a FIBA 3x3 profile. The minimum age to register is 10 years old.
- BUILD YOUR TEAM: When your teammates have a confirmed FIBA 3x3 profile, you as the team captain or a team lead, can search for their names on the FIBA 3x3 website and add them to your team in the TEAM REGISTRATION SECTION.
- REGISTER YOUR TEAM: Continue to the event REGISTRATION page once all 4 players have created a profile.
- EDIT YOUR TEAM: If you have already registered with your team and want to add official player profiles, or change your roster, please check your email account as you should have received an email that offers a team edit option.
- PAYMENT: You will need a Visa, MasterCard or American Express credit card to pay the registration fee.
