Breanne Scott is a dedicated educator and accomplished basketball coach based at John Taylor Collegiate, where she serves as a teacher and head coach of the varsity girls’ basketball team. Since 2021, she has been coaching at the high school level, as well as at the junior high level, fostering the growth of young athletes. Under her leadership, the Pipers have earned significant accolades, securing two AAA Provincial Championship appearances in the past three years and finishing third in both tournaments.
Beyond high school basketball, Breanne is actively involved in the broader basketball community. She coaches 16U and 17U club basketball teams and plays a key role in Manitoba’s Junior Academy program, which focuses on developing the skills of promising young female athletes.
Breanne’s passion for the sport extends back to her university years. In 2018, she graduated from the University of Winnipeg with a degree in Physical Education and Health. During her studies, she competed in the MCAC league, representing both the University of Winnipeg Women’s College team and the women’s team at Providence University.
In addition to her high-performance coaching roles, Breanne is the coach of a Special Olympics basketball team, guiding athletes as they compete throughout the winter and spring seasons. Her diverse coaching experience reflects her commitment to fostering inclusion, skill development, and excellence in basketball at all levels.
