Elijah Lostracco, born and raised in Oakville, Ontario, has carved a path in basketball, transitioning from a standout player to an emerging coaching talent. His journey began at Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School, one of Ontario's top high school basketball programs, where he honed his skills and developed a deep passion for the game.
In 2017, Elijah started his collegiate basketball career in the OCAA with Redeemer University. His freshman year earned him a spot on the All-Conference Rookie Team and the Redeemer University Rookie of the Year title. These accolades set the stage for his promising future in the sport.
In 2020, Elijah transferred to the University of Manitoba, where he continued to excel both on and off the court. He graduated in 2023 with a Bachelor of Kinesiology and capped off his collegiate playing career as team captain. Under his leadership, the Bisons achieved an impressive 18-2 conference record and reached the Canada West Final Four, marking one of the program's most successful seasons.
Elijah's talents extended beyond university basketball, as he joined the professional ranks in 2024, playing for the Jamestown Jackals in the North American Basketball Super League. His experience at the professional level further solidified his understanding of the game and deepened his passion for player development.
Elijah is currently a full-time assistant coach with the Manitoba Bisons. In this role, he focuses on player development, scouting reports, video analysis, and recruitment. His dedication to fostering growth in his players and his commitment to excellence make him a valuable asset to the program.
