Winnipeg's Tanah Becker (@tanah.becker) has committed to further her academic and athletic career at the University of Kentucky of the Southeastern Conference (SEC) for the 2024-25 season. Her extensive experience in basketball, spanning over a decade, and her participation in elite programs such as the Manitoba Provincial Team Program, including the 2022 Canada Games and the Basketball Manitoba Targeted Athlete Program underscore her dedication and skill. She is currently in her senior year at Hamilton Heights Christian Academy in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where she has been recognized several times with various All-Star and other recognition awards.
Tanah's achievements extend beyond her local scene, she was a member of the Canadian National 16U which brought home a FIBA Americas Silver Medal in 2020 and was a 3-year member of the Kia Nurse Elite EYBL team. She was named an All-Star at the WNBA Basketball Without Borders Girls Camp in Las Vegas and at the Nike Tournament of Champions in Phoenix in 2023. Tanah was named to the All-Canadian Game (Biosteel) both in 2023 and 2024, which recognizes the top 24 female basketball players in Canada.
