TORONTO (May 31, 2024) – Fifteen of Canada’s top age-group players have been selected to attend a #FuellingTheFuture G Camp as Canada Basketball’s U18 Women’s National Team trains ahead of the FIBA U18 Women’s AmeriCup 2024. Congrats to Manitoba’s Izzi Fust on being invited to the Training Camp!
The training camp will be held at Humber College’s North Campus Gymnasium from June 1-11. The FIBA U18 Women’s AmeriCup 2024 will be held from June 17 to 23, 2024, at the Coliseo Bicentenario Arena in Bucaramanga, Colombia. The field will comprise the top eight teams from across the Americas zone. All the action will be streamed live on FIBA’s YouTube channel.
Canada was drawn into Group A and will compete against Argentina (June 17, 6:40 p.m. ET), Colombia (June 18, 9:10 p.m. ET), and the Dominican Republic (June 19, 6:40 p.m. ET) in Group Phase action. All eight teams participating in the event will advance to the quarter-finals, followed by the semifinals and medal round games.
