Congratulations to Isaiah Cole on signing his first professional contract with Clube Desportivo José Régio. The team competes in the top-tier basketball league out of Portugal and has a strong reputation for producing talented players and competitive performances.

Cole has always been a determined and dedicated high achiever. During his high school tenure, he topped Manitoba’s High School record books when he scored an amazing 61 points in a game to close out his high school career as a River East Collegiate Kodiak – one of the all-time most points scored in a single game in varsity boys’ basketball. Among the numerous Tournament All-star certificates and Player of the Game awards that the Kodiaks' talisman received during his high school career, he was also recognized by North Pole Hoops as one of Manitoba's High School Top Ten in 2019 and was selected Most Valuable Player in the Manitoba Basketball 'AAAA' Boys Graduating All-star Game.

His outstanding performances continued throughout university earning him many accolades. He averaged 23.7 points per game, as a forward, in scoring as a freshman and was named all-NIAC all-star in 2020-2021 for the Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) Blazers. In 2021-2022 he moved to point guard and led the MCAC in both points and assists per game with 20.1 and 5.9 helping the Blazers to the conference championship game. In 2022-2023, he committed to Winnipeg Wesmen Basketball, however the time with the Wesmen was shortened due to a change in academic pursuits that led him back to CMU. In his final game as a Blazer, in 2023-2024, he delivered an MVP performance and put up 32 points to win and capture the MCAC men’s basketball title. “Coach Martin of CMU gave me the opportunity to develop my skills and gave me the platform to play in games. I was one of the key players there, so having that opportunity allowed me to showcase myself and show my talent.”

The 6’4” point guard graduated from Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) in 2024 and competed in the 2024 EuroBasket Summer League Tour tryouts where his game high was 32 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. 2024-2025 will be his first season playing professional basketball.
