Emmanuel Akot (age 25, 6'8") has shared the news that he has signed with Polish basketball powerhouse Anwil Wloclawek for the 2024-24 season. Akot will compete in Poland's top-tier league, the PLK, and the prestigious FIBA Europe Cup.

Akot recently wrapped up a strong season in Canada, where he played for the Winnipeg Sea Bears in the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL). He posted impressive stats, averaging 11.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in just 23 minutes per game, while shooting an outstanding 42% from three-point range.

Born in Winnipeg, MB, Akot has already had an extensive career. He began his professional journey with Heroes Den Bosch in the Netherlands, where he averaged 6.9 points and 3.3 rebounds during the 2023-24 season. Prior to his professional career, Akot played collegiate basketball for Arizona, Boise State, and Western Kentucky, where he averaged 7.2 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.0 assists over 134 games. 

In Winnipeg, his basketball career started at Valley Gardens Middle School and Kildonan East Collegiate. He suited up with Winnipeg Team Mayhem and the Winnipeg Wolves at the club level. He competed for Team Manitoba on the Provincial Team culminating at the 2017 Canada Games hosted in Winnipeg. 


Known for his versatility on both ends of the court, Akot is poised to make a significant impact in European basketball with Anwil Wloclawek.
