The Providence Pilots men’s basketball team has officially kicked off their recruiting season with an addition, announcing the signing of Stellan Chammatin, a two-time league MVP and standout performer in the AA basketball circuit.
Chammatin has been a dominant force throughout his high school career, rewriting the record books at Gabrielle-Roy. Among his accomplishments is an incredible 71-point game and leading his team to three consecutive AA Championships, with ambitions to secure a fourth title in his senior year.
“Starting the recruiting season with a player of Stellan’s calibre is a blessing,” said Pilots Head Coach Pierre Dubreuil. “Stellan has exceptional court vision, athleticism, and the ability to shoot and create opportunities for his teammates. His high school success speaks volumes, and the quality of coaching he’s received at both Gabriel Roy and the Ignite club program will translate seamlessly to our team.”
Chammatin expressed his gratitude and excitement about joining the Pilots, saying, “Firstly, I’d like to thank God for the many blessings in my life. I’m excited for the opportunity that Coach Pierre has given me to join the Providence Men’s basketball team, and I’m looking forward to what’s ahead. I’d like to thank my family, friends, teammates, and Coach Carlos for all their support and guidance.”
The Pilots welcome Chammatin to the team and look forward to seeing his skills and leadership on display in the upcoming season.
