This spring break, young basketball have the opportunity to sharpen their skills at the AP Baller Point Guard Academy. This dynamic program is designed for boys and girls aged 12–16 who are ready to elevate their basketball IQ and performance on the court.
The Point Guard Academy will focus on the critical elements of guard play, offering participants a chance to enhance their decision-making, scoring, and defensive strategies. Drawing from extensive experience working with university and professional-level athletes, AP Baller coaches will guide players through techniques to unlock their full potential.
Key program highlights include:
- Developing basketball IQ for in-game decision-making
- Finishing with confidence around the rim
- Mastering defensive strategies
- Pick-and-roll (PnR) and dribble hand-off (DHO) execution and reads
- Neutralizing pressure defence
- Exciting prizes for session MVPs and competition winners
Session Details:
- Girls Only Sessions: March 31–April 2, 12:00 PM–3:00 PM (9 hours total)
- Boys Only Sessions: April 3, 2:30 PM–5:30 PM, and April 4, 9:00 AM–12:00 PM and 1:00 PM–4:00 PM (9 hours total)
Location: St. Boniface University, Winnipeg, MB
Cost: $175 + GST (Early bird registration until March 10, 2025)
Regular pricing: $200 + GST (after March 10, 2025)
